Soccer 2008 |
Attention all ladies 16 years and older!!
Once again the Sheridan Recreation District is offering a women's soccer
program. Depending on the numbers, it will either be 6 on 6
on a 50 x 50 yard field or 11 on 11 on a regulation field. Come join
the fun of this fast paced sport! Whether you are a beginner, intermediate
or novice, you are welcome to participate! For more information,

Swimming
The opening day for Kendrick Pool is Saturday, May 31, 2008. Check out the Recreational
Swim Schedule for information about afternoon and evening swim, fees,
renting the pool, water fitness classes, lap swimming, swim lessons, and
more.

Summer Softball 2008 |
This
year, divisions are offered in Men’s (Thursday nights) and Co-Rec.
Competitive (Tuesday nights) and Co-Rec. Leisure (Mon/Tues/Wed.
nights). Play begins in late May on Monday through Thursday
nights with make-ups on Fridays. Fees are established at the
managers' meeting on Wednesday, April 30. Registration is April
21st - May 9th. Games are at the Sheridan Softball Complex which
offers a full-service concession stand fresh with hot dogs, nachos, ice
cream, popcorn, sodas, and candy. In addition, batting cages are
available during the season and fifty cents provide ten balls to master
your swing. Contact the Sheridan Recreation District office at

Softball
Managers and Umpires Meeting
Wednesday, April 30th
Place: 6:00 p.m. in the Snow Goose Room at the Sheridan Center.
This
annual meeting is at the Sheridan Center in the Overland Room.
All men's and co-rec teams planning to participate should be in
attendance as divisions and fees are established. General
information will be covered. Individuals searching for a team are
encouraged to attend. An A.S.A. representative will be at this
meeting to answer any questions that you might have.

Co-Rec. Softball League 2008 |
The softball season concludes with a recreational
league with the emphasis on fun. The league begins in August after
the summer season. Each team will play ten games without any awards
or tournament. Doubleheaders are scheduled, so be ready to
play! Play is Tuesday and Thursday nights.

| Come master your swing before and during
the softball season. Ten balls are provided for $0.50 and the cages
are open May through September, during the day and evenings, seven days
a week. |

Fall League Basketball |
Fall Registration: October 8th - 17th
Men’s teams must register at the Sheridan
Recreation District office, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00
p.m. Please make checks payable to the Sheridan Recreation District
and provide a preliminary roster with names and the name and phone number
of a contact person. Official rosters are due at the first night
of games.
Basketball Meeting - Wed. Oct. 17th
Highland Park / SRD Facility at 6:00 PM
DIVISIONS: OPEN LEAGUE (18 OR OLDER)
This will be the primary organizational
meeting for the Fall 2007 Men’s Basketball season. Teams will play 7-8
games. No tournaments are scheduled. At this meeting such topics
as leage format with the two divisions, rule changes, fees, and any other
points of interest will be discussed. This is an important meeting
and all Men’s team managers and interested players are encouraged to attend
to discuss the league. (Adult

| 2008 Men's
Basketball - Over 30 League |
Registration for
the 2008 Over 30 league is January 7th - 18th. Teams
must pay the entry fee to the recreation office by January 18th.
Official rosters are due at the first night of games. Over
30 league plays Wednesday nights. League begins January
30th. The manager’s meeting is Wednesday, January 23rd at 6:00
p.m. at the Recreation District Office. Managers or one team
member need to be present at this meeting. The league will play
at the Sheridan Jr. High. Awards will be given to the season champions
and tournament champions. (Adult

| Sheridan
Invitational Volleyball Tournament |
If an indoor activity is more to your
liking, why not participate in the annual men's and women's volleyball
tournaments? The event will be held in mid to late February. Teams (maximum
of 8 in each division) will compete in pool play on Saturday with Bracket
play on Sunday. For more information, contact the Sheridan Recreation District

| Co-Rec Volleyball 2008 |
The
Co-Rec Volleyball season will start early March or after the men's and
women's divisions. Divisions are Co-Rec "A" and Co-Rec "B"
divisions and will play on Tuesday & Thursday nights until early
May. Registration is accepted from February 18th through February
29th. The team fee is $100 per team with ten matches and no awards. A
mandatory Manager's Meeting is Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at 6:00
p.m. at the Sheridan Recreation District office. All teams not
represented will receive a forfeit of their first game of their first

Extreme Dodgeball |
The Sheridan Recreation Disrtict will
once again be offering a dodgeball league. This year the Recreation District
would like to expand the league from just a co-ed league to a men’s and
women’s league as well. The recreation District will have an organization
meeting for all those that are interested in expanding the dodgeball leagues.
The meeting will take place on Monday October
22, at the Highland Park Facility/SRD at 6:00 p.m. We will set dates for
the leagues at this time and team fees will also be discussed. Get with
your friends and pass the word on Adult Extreme Dodgeball. For more information,

Flag Football |
 If you still want to live out your childhood
dreams of playing football, come and get involved with adult flag football
league at the Sheridan Recreation District. The league runs from
the end of August through October. The league is 6 on 6 league and

located
in Sheltered Acres/Emerson Park at the end of Emerson St. Come
and try an exciting new sport on the brand new course!!
