This entry level, rock climbing course is designed to teach kids about basic knots, belay techniques, rappelling, top-rope climbing, and Leave No Trace ethics in the Bighorn Mountains. All students will be supplied with the climbing gear needed for the course. Climbing locations will be Tongue River Canyon, South Piney Creek Canyon, and Steamboat Point.

Instructors

All instructors for this course will be contracted through Bighorn Mountain Guides, LLC. The lead instructor is Nick Flores, a local climber and educator, who has several years of experience working with students in an educational setting. All guides contracted through Bighorn Mountain Guides have current CPR/First-AID training and have been certified as a Single-Pitch Instructor by the American Mountain Guide Association (AMGA).

Youngster Level: Introductory rock climbing for ages 8-11. Dates/Time: Mondays and Wednesdays, June 10-19 (June 10, 12, 17, 19), 7:30 am - 12:30 pm, pick up and drop off at the Sheridan Recreation District Office Fee: $200.00 Teenage Level: Introductory rock climbing for ages 12-15. Fees Include
