Volunteer Youth Baseball Coaches needed
THE RECREATION DISTRICT NEEDS YOUTH BASEBALL COACHES.  All our youth programs require adults within the community to step forward and volunteer a few hours of time to help make the program successful.  If you like kids, know baseball, can keep the sport in proper perspective, and be fair to all kids in the program, we need you to help out.  If you are interested, please contact the Sheridan Recreation District at 674-6421.  This year we are requiring all Coaches to sign off on a background check form.

The Sheridan Recreation District requires all volunteer coaches to certify with the NYSCA program.  This program is designed to help coaches understand the special needs of each child, teach fundamentals, plan practices, and most importantly, how to be a positive role model for the young athletic.  Plan now to attend one of the clinics we offer in the Spring.  Please check the baseball Time Line for a date you can attend.

Youth Baseball Umpires needed
There is no better way to stay involved in baseball then to become an umpire.  The Rec. District offers decent pay, and a benefit package that includes a pop, popcorn, and getting to be on the field in the thick of the action.  Look at it this way, no matter what you call, half of the people think you're right.  So don't delay, call the Rec. District now and get involved with Sheridan's Youth!
