2017 Spring Baseball Clinics

Batting/Fielding/Pitching Cover the fundamentals of baseball with the Sheridan Recreation District baseball clinics. Instructor JB Barosh will help knock the cob webs away and hone in on fundamentals skills that will make the transition into baseball and softball season easier. Who: Players ages 7-14 Dates: February 11 & 25, March 11 & 25, April 15 & 29, May 6 Time: 10:00am-1:00pm Fee: $20 per session, $60 for four, $100 for all sessions (single day is a session). Registration: Until class fills, 20 players maximum Location: Thorne-Rider Park Hitting and Pitching Facility Equipment: clothing appropriate for exercise, water bottle, and baseball glove. Baseball bat, helmet, and hitting gloves are optional.

Little Sluggers

All kindergarten and first grade boys and girls are encouraged to sign up for Little Sluggers Baseball! This program introduces the fundamentals of the sport and prepares players to move on to baseball or softball programs. An instructional league with a goal to prepare players for future competitive games, this league will have one “game” on the last day. Who: Kindergarten and first grade girls and boys Fee: $30 Registration: Begins April 15th, ends May 26th with a 30 player max in each session! o Session 1: Saturdays from June 3-July 8, 2017 o Session 2: Tuesdays and Thursdays from July 6-July 25, 2017 Time: 9:00-10:00 am

Webb Wright Baseball

Another summer of baseball will be here before we know it! All 2nd-6th Graders are encouraged to participate. This league allows players to develop their skills and knowledge of the game. We focus on teamwork, sportsmanship, and having fun! Timelines will be available at registration. Who: 2nd-6th Graders Registration: April 3-28 2017 Leagues and Fees: o Peewee - all current 1st and 2nd graders (must be age 6 by May 1, 2017): $40 o Intermediate - all current 3rd and 4th graders (must be age 8 by May 1, 2017): $45 o Minor - all current 5th and 6th graders (must be age 10 by May 1, 2017): $50 All Peewee, and Intermediate players will play on a team of the school they are currently attending. In an effort to keep team numbers low and individual playing time maximized the program director, Seth Ulvestad, can modify teams at his discretion. All Minor League players need to attend the player showcase that was rescheduled for May 1st at the Oatts Baseball Fields on 6th Street at 5:30pm.   Register early, we have a maximum limit of 12 players per team!
