Instructors Wanted

The Sheridan Recreation District is looking for instructors for a variety of classes to offer to the public. If you have experience and or certification or are able to obtain certification we would be interested in hearing about what you would like to teach! Some ideas may include (but are not limited to) core, Pilate, drawing. Call 674-6421 if this sounds appealing!  

Youth Baseball Umpires Needed

There is no better way to stay involved in baseball then to become an umpire. The Recreation District offers decent pay, and a benefit package that includes a pop, popcorn, and getting to be on the field in the thick of the action. Look at it this way, no matter what you call, half of the people think you're right. So don't delay, call the Recreation District now and get involved with Sheridan's Youth! All umpires will be required to participate in a clinic that will be TBA. Please contact the Sheridan Recreation District at 674-6421.

Softball Umpires Needed

The Sheridan Recreation District is always looking for new umpires for our Men’s and Co- Recreation games. Non-experienced and experienced officials are encouraged to attend our Mechanics Clinic. Field clinics and game situations are covered during the clinics. Officials pay range from $22.00 - $25.00 per game. Attend the Rules Clinic in May at the Sheridan Community Softball Complex located on the campus of Sheridan College. The State Umpire School will be held April 29 & 30, 2017. All umpires that want to work at the state, regional, or national softball tournaments must attend this clinic. The registration fee will be $75 per person to attend the clinic.
