Youth Rock Climbing Camp with Bighorn Mountain Guides
This entry level rock climbing course is designed to teach kids about basic knots, belay techniques, rappelling, top-rope climbing, and Leave No Trace ethics in the Bighorn Mountains. All participants will be supplied with the climbing gear needed for the course. Climbing will be hosted at various rock-climbing crags in the Sheridan/Bighorn Mountains area.

Registration: Sign up online or in person at the Sheridan Recreation District Office (1579 Thorne-Rider Park) or call 307-674-6421 from April 20th until filled.
Courses
Youngster Level: Introductory rock climbing for ages 8-10 (10 participants per session)
- 2 Sessions:
- June 8th - 12th
- July 13th - 16th
- Time: 7:30 am - 12:30 pm, pick up and drop off at the Sheridan Recreation District Office
- Fee: $235 per session
Youth Level: Introductory rock climbing for ages 11-15 (10 participants per session)
- 2 Sessions:
- June 15th - 18th
- July 20th - 23rd
- Time: 7:30 am - 12:30 pm, pick up and drop off at the Sheridan Recreation District Office
- Fee: $235 per session
NEW! Advanced Level: Rock climbing for experienced climbers ages 14-18 (10 participants)
- Dates: June 22nd - 25th
- Time: 7:30 am - 12:30 pm, pick up and drop off at the Sheridan Recreation District Office
- Fee: $235
Fees Include
All students will get professional guide service and access to climbing equipment (i.e. climbing harnesses, climbing shoes, helmets, ropes, etc.).
Class Size
We plan to keep our group size to 10 or less. The course will fill up on a first come basis. A full payment must be received for the registration to be completed.
