SRD will offer eight weeks of day camps this summer (based in Thorne-Rider Park!) with exciting games, crafts, activities and field trips! Check out the list below for updated weekly themes and camp dates for this summer. 

Registration opens April 6th! Take advantage of these fun, new summer camps with SRD!

Camp Info 

Ages: 6-12

  • 25 campers per week!

Time: 8am – 4pm
Fee: $250 per week

Registration: Starting April 6th! Sign-up online at sheridanrecreation.com or in person at the SRD Office (1579 Thorne-Rider Park) or call 307-674-6421 until filled.

 

Camp Weeks 

  • Week 1: (June 8-12) Nature & Homestead 🌿
    • Step back in time and experience life like a homesteader! Campers will explore the outdoors, learn homestead-style skills, and connect with nature through hands-on activities and adventures.
  • Week 2: (June 15-19) Sports & Olympics🏅
    • Ready, set, play! Campers will compete in a variety of sports like tennis, pickleball, flag football, and kickball while also taking on fun Olympic-style challenges and team competitions.
  • Week 3: (June 22-26) Mad Scientist🧪
    • Put on your lab coat and get ready to experiment! Campers will mix, build, and create their way through exciting science experiments and wacky STEM-inspired crafts.
  • Week 4: (June 29 - July 3) Art, Museum, & Reading🎨📚
    • Let creativity shine! Campers will dive into books, create art, and visit local museums and art exhibits to spark imagination, creativity, and curiosity.

NO CAMPS DURING RODEO WEEK (July 6-10)

  • Week 5: (July 13-17) Ninja & Secret Agents 🥷
    • Stealth, skill, and teamwork! Campers will train like ninjas, learn secret agent skills, complete obstacle challenges, and work together to solve exciting missions.
  • Week 6: (July 20-24) Animal Adventures 🐾
    • Discover the amazing animals of Wyoming! Campers will visit the Story Fish Hatchery, the Dog & Cat Shelter, and Second Chance Cat Rescue while enjoying animal-themed crafts, games, and activities.
  • Week 7: (July 27-31) Survivor🔥
    • Outwit, outplay, outlast! Campers will form tribes and take on fun challenges inspired by the TV show Survivor, testing teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Week 8: (August 3-7) Last Blast!☀️ 
    • End the summer with a bang! This high-energy week is packed with camper-favorite activities, from water games and obstacle courses to team challenges and creative fun, making it the ultimate grand finale to an unforgettable summer!
