Spring and summer time is my favorite part of the Recreation District schedule. While a very busy part of the year, spring / summer gives us all the chance to be back outside and in the sunshine. We look forward to filling that outside time with as many activities as possible.
We get started early with our youth lacrosse program. Lacrosse has been an exciting program to watch grow. I encourage everyone in the community to stop by Dan Madia field this spring and check out how hard the kids and volunteer coaches have been working.
Another exciting location to check out in the summer is John Oatts Memorial Fields. On any summer night you can find hundreds of kids and family busy around the baseball diamonds. We continue to provide our large Webb Wright baseball program and continue to grow our youth fast pitch softball program both with a great community of people that coach and teach kids the game. Its going to be a busy summer but we are excited for it. We’ll see you at the ball field.
