All kindergarten and first grade boys and girls are encouraged to sign up for Little Sluggers. This program introduces the fundamentals of the sport and prepares players to move on to future competitive baseball or softball programs. Another summer of baseball will be here before we know it! All 1st - 6th Graders are encouraged to participate. This league allows players to develop their skills and knowledge of the game with a focus on teamwork, sportsmanship, and having fun! Who: 1st - 6th graders Registration Extended: Sign up online, by phone at 307-674-6421, or in person at 1579 Thorne-Rider Park through May 2nd. Register early, we have a maximum limit of 13 players per team! Leagues and Fees: o Players will sign up based on current grade for the 2022-2023 school year o Peewee (pitching machine) - all current 1st and 2nd graders: $50 o Intermediate (pitching machine and player pitch) - all current 3rd and 4th graders: $55 o Minor (player pitch) - all current 5th and 6th graders: $60 Uniforms, pants, and hats will be provided. Hats can be kept at end of the season. Each player should also have a glove, weather appropriate clothes, and a water bottle. All Peewee and Intermediate players will play on a team of the school they are currently attending. In an effort to keep team numbers low, and individual playing time maximized, the program director can modify teams at their discretion. All Minor League players need to attend the player showcase at Redle Field next to the SRD office on May 2nd. This is a volunteer coached league.
